At present, the NGO “Country of Free People” is implementing the project “Improving food security and access to basic needs in conflict-affected areas of Eastern Ukraine near the line of demarcation” as part of the financing of the “Pope for Ukraine” Initiative.
This is the second project of such kind that is financing under the Initiative.
The German public organization DRA e.V together with the NGO “Country of Free People” and six other partner organizations from Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Armenia and Germany are implementing the project “Overcoming the consequences of war together: Multinational conflict resolution and dialogue development through the support of civil society in Ukraine and others conflict zones of Eastern Europe."
As part of the project “Improving the quality of psychological support for children, youth, parents and guardians through the work of a community center in Kramatorsk and the work of a mobile group along the contact line in the Donetsk region” with the support of the international organization Save the Children based on the public organization “Country of Free People” a Children and Youth Community Center was started.
The main aim of the Center is to provide first psycho-social assistance to children, adolescents, their parents and guardians through the organization of comprehensive programs.
The non-governmental organization "Country of Free People" together with the NGO "Donbass SOS" and with the financial support of the European Union in March 2016 started the implementation of the project "Providing legal protection for internally displaced persons in Ukraine".
Within the framework of the project, a Legal Reception for the internally displaced and socially unprotected population operates on the basis of our organization in the city of Kramatorsk.
The implementing partner of the project is Non-Governmental Organization “Country of Free People” with the financial support of the donor organization FAO UN (Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations).
The main aim of the project is to assist in the restoration and development of agricultural sector, solving the problems of food security and providing the population with high-quality food for small farms affected by the conflict in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The project “Increasing food supply security and livelihoods of the vulnerable population of Donbass, Eastern Ukraine, affected by the conflict” is a program aimed at providing financial assistance to small businesses owners and local people living in the near-front zone in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The Non-Governmental Organization “Country of Free People” together with the French international organization “Triangle” and with the support of UNICEF organized and launched another voucher project “Mitigating the consequences of the conflict for vulnerable households living along the line of conflict by providing basic hygiene items and supporting the local economy”.
With the financial support of the German donor organization “Brot für die Welt” (“Bread for the World”), since January 2017, the Non-Governmental Organization “Country of Free People” is launching a new project “Psychological and Social Assistance to Elderly People”. As part of the project and as its implementer, our organization takes under its care 60 lonely elderly people who need help and support very much.
The Non-Governmental Organization “Country of Free People” with the support of ChildFund Deutschland (Children's Fund of Germany) is launching a new project to rehabilitate 40 children from the front-line zone (urban-type settlements Luhanske and Myronivskyi, Donetsk Oblast).
Project aim: Providing psychosocial support to 40 children (8 - 17 years old) living in the urban-type settlements Myronivskyi and Luhanske, through the organization of healthcare and rehabilitation camp in Zakarpattia (village of Shaian, Khust raion).
